HMB X System
BioTech's patented HMB System measures bacterial and fungal populations based on their chemical makeup and metabolic activity. The HMB measures the production of oxygen gas produced during the reaction between peroxidase and catalase. Able to serve as a primary testing device, an early warning system or as a quality control tool, the HMB uses disposable test kits. Precision associated with biochemical tests is about + 3%.

| Known Interferents/Inhibitors |
| Known environmental interferents. Presence of environmental bacteria (i.e., bacteria sample specific). It does differentiate between viable and nonviable organisms. It does detect spores. Not applicable for cross reactivity to proteins. Resistance to Interferents is sample specific |
