Dräger Catalytic EX Sensors

Designed for use with the Dräger X-AM 7000. A platinum coil is embedded in a ceramic bead. A current flows through the coil heating the pellistor. If the pellistor has the proper catalytic material, then in the presence of flammable gas its temperature will increase. This results in an increased resistance, which can be evaluated electronically. This uses a second pellistor which does not react with the gas of interest. The two pellistors are combined in a Wheatstone bridge. This second pellistor eliminates changes in the ambient temperature.
