ChemPro100i

The ChemPro100i is a real-time chemical agent detector module that is designed to detect airborne chemical warfare agents (CWAs) and Toxic Industrial Compounds/Materials (TICs/TIMs). The detector consists of an open loop ion mobility spectrometer (IMS) and six semiconductor (SC) and metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) sensors. It requires no consumables under normal use, other than a performance verification sample (VERIFIC) for verifying that the unit is operating normally. In operation, the ChemPro100i integrates data from these sensors, leading to real-time reporting of hazard information. Results are effectively qualitative, although the unit provides a thermometer-style readout of signal intensity. A “Trend” function provides a rolling line graph and audible “Geiger-Counter” style beep to alert users to airborne species.
