A compact mass spectrometer system based on a mass spectrometer chip – Ionchip. The Ionchip miniaturized the main mass spectrometer components onto a single silicon chip leading to massive reductions in size, cost and weight. The engineering for the ChemCube is based on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology to achieve “mainframe” mass spectrometer performance with the Ionchip. • Mass range of 1 to 400 m/z • Resolution 1 amu • GC-MS mode • Selected ion monitoring and full screen modes
