The Itemiser® DX will simultaneously detect positive and negative ions. Simultaneous detection enables the Itemiser DX to detect a broad range of explosives. It delivers simultaneous explosives and narcotics detection in a portable package. The Itemiser® 4DX and 5X has a non-radioactive-based explosives and narcotics detector. The 5X model has modified sampling wand, software algorithms, a faster clear down, and the ability to remote monitor.
