DragonFly
The MicroFluidic System branch of PositiveID has developed a series of cartridges for biological sample processing and detection. Examples include differential extraction cartridges, sample processing and amplification for biodefense applications, and clinical sample processing and detection. The DragonFly cartridge provides cell lysis, nucleic acid purification, PCR amplification and fluorescent detection in less than 7 minutes on a 150 ul input sample. Proven applications include: environmental bacteria, human papilloma virus (HPV), and antibiotic resistant bacteria such as MRSA.
