AP4C

The AP4C is a hand-held and projectable chemical contamination control instrument used to directly detect chemical agents in vapors, gas and aerosols. Detection is extended to liquids and solids with the optional S4PE attachment and for the new generation agents such as fentanyl with the optional S4PF attachement. The AP4C detects the atomic emission spectra of phosphorus (present in G, V agents), sulfur (present in HD and V agents), arsenic (present in L, SA, DM) and HNO bond present in molecule such as ammonia, cyanogen chloride, and hydrogen cyanide. The AP4C’s sensitivity and response time make it suitable for monitoring residual contamination following a decontamination procedure. The indications supplied by the apparatus are translated into hazard thresholds on 4 luminous display bar graph systems.
