RAMP 200 Biowarfare Detection System
The RAMP system consists of two components: a disposable cartridge that houses an analyte-specific immunochromatographic test, and a portable fluorescence-based reader. A sample is applied to the sample well of the test cartridge and fluorescent dyed latex particles coated with antigen-specific antibodies bind to antigen if present in the sample. A limitation to the procedure is that a positive test result does not provide any indication of the concentration of the target. In addition results obtained from this product should be used only as an adjunct to other conformational procedures.
