EGIS Defender
The EGIS Defender explosive detection system is based on High-Speed Gas Chromatography (HSGC) combined with Micro Differential Ion Mobility Spectrometry (DMS). By combining these technologies the EGIS Defender is capable of simultaneously detecting plastic, commercial, and military explosives, TATP, HMTD, and nitrates. One of the EGIS Defender’s features is its ability to detect new and emerging threats through software upgrades.
