Nanofiber Chemical Detection
The Vaporsens handheld detectors are designed to detect either narcotics or explosives, depending on the version selected: Narcotics detectors currently detect methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine. Future capabilities such as marijuana will soon be added to the device’s capabilities. Explosives detectors are sensitive to nitro, ammonia, and peroxide. They’re also selective against environmental interferents such as cosmetics, gasoline, cigarette smoke, and alcohol.
