UltraFAIMS
UltraFAIMS is a chip-based FAIMS (field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry) platform designed to interface with a mass spectrometer to provide additional in-source separation of ions. FAIMS has been shown to separate many types of ions, including: • Isobaric analytes • Protein and peptide charge states • Large and small proteins • Isomers and conformers The UltraFAIMS is used to reduce chemical background noise, improve level of quantitation, enhance protein and peptide identification, and improve accurate mass measurement.
