MAGPIX®
The MAGPIX is a compact fluorescent based detection system capable of multiplexing up to 50 different analytes in a single reaction. The MAGPIX uses color coded magnetic microspheres and a CCD imager to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of proteins and nucleic acids in a variety of sample matrices. The MAGPIX system is based on the principles of fluorescence imaging. Lasers and Photo Multiplying Tubes (PMTs) in flow cytometers are replaced with LEDs and a charge coupled device (CCD) camera to make the systems more cost effective, and compact.
