Direct Reading Dosimeter Checker
It allows for the simultaneous functional testing of up to six Direct-Reading Dosimeters. The Multi-Dosimeter Checker consists of a plastic cylinder with six holes that surround an 8 µCi Cs-137 Exempt Source. Properly charged and zeroed dosimeters are placed in the Dosimeter Checker and exposed for the required period of time, depending on their range. Typically, a six-hour exposure of a properly calibrated dosimeter will yield a reading from 25-35 mR.
