MMTD (Multi-Mode Threat Detector)

The Multi-Mode Threat Detector (MMTD) is a ruggedized, portable hand-held system for detection and identification of over 40 of chemical warfare agents, explosives, narcotics, and TIC/TIM threat substances in approximately 15 seconds. Two sample introduction modes are available: Vapor Mode for real-time monitoring of vapors, and Particle Mode for detection of condensed phase substances on swabs. The MMTD identifies chemicals by comparing the analysis results (called a plasmagram) versus an on-board library of reference plasmagrams of target chemicals.

Suggested Routine Maintenance
Replace Air Purifier Cartridge, replace membrane (annually). APC useful lifetime (2 weeks), with humid environments requiring more frequent APC replacement. System easily overloads when exposed to high analyte concentrations and may need cleaning and bake out to restore to operational ready condition.User can perform basic maintenance.
