DropEx Plus Explosive Detection Kit
The DropEx Plus kits are for the detection and identification of nitrate, chlorate, and peroxide-based explosives. The kits use the same chemistry as the Expray product but use droppers as opposed to spray cans. Detection is made by evaluating a color change on the sample wipe. The DropEx kits can be applied to smaller, more specific areas than the Expray and are not subject to IATA transportation regulations. Each kit has an expected shelf life of one year, with individual reagent bottles expiring one month from open. The kits can detect as little as 20 ng on a sample surface, are fully COTS and available.
