Nano–Intelligent Detection System (NIDS®)
Nano–Intelligent Detection System (NIDS®) BioThreat Rapid Assay and Handheld Reader. This platform utilizes Lateral Flow Immunochromatography (LFI) in which capture antibodies are immobilized onto the substrate surface. Liquid sample is introduced onto the card and a wicking process forces a diffusion of the liquid analyte along a path toward interaction between the capture antibody and the analyte. A colorimetric change takes place if the analyte is present. ANP markets a multianalyte LFI strip for screening against several pathogens/toxins assembled in a microarray format. LFI strips are analyzed by inserting into a reader that is colorimetric based. Single target assays and multiplexes in 2-plex, 3-plex, 4-plex, and 5-plex formats are available.
